San José – Arenal – Guanacaste
Day 1: Arrival at San Jose
Your private transport will pick you up at the San Jose Airport, and take you to your hotel. We recommend Grano de Oro Hotel.
Day 2: Arenal
Your shared transport will pick you up from your hotel, and take you to the Arenal region, known for its active volcano, scenic lake, lush rainforests, and adventure activities. Overnight stay in Arenal. We recommend Arenal Kioro Hotel.
Day 3: Arenal Lake Tour
Today, you will visit Lake Arenal, known for its scenic views of the towering volcano and lush coastlines. You can go kayaking and swimming during the tour. You will be taken back to your hotel.
Day 4 – A.M.: Arenal Volcano Hike
You will visit the Arenal Volcano National Park for a nature hike, this morning. You will observe an abundance of flora and fauna, views of Lake Arenal, and learn about the eruptions of the Arenal Volcano.
Day 4 – P.M.: La Fortuna Waterfall Tour
In the afternoon, you will go through jungle trails, and visit the beautiful La Fortuna Waterfall. You can rest, take photos or go swimming.
Day 5: Rio Perdido
Your private transport will pick you up from your hotel, and take you to Rio Perdido, in the Guanacaste region. You can swim and relax in the thermal hot springs, go hiking through the jungle trails, or go mountain biking. Overnight stay in Rio Perdido. We recommend Rio Perdido Hotel & Thermal River.
Day 6: Tubing & Canyon Adventure
Today, you will go river tubing on the fast-paced rapids of Rio Perdido. Next, you will go zip lining on the thrilling Canyon Adventure. You will be taken back to your hotel.
Day 7: Tamarindo
Your shared transport will pick you up from your hotel, and take you to Tamarindo, renowned for its beach and surfing culture. Overnight stay in Tamarindo. We recommend Tamarindo Diria Hotel.
Day 8: ATV Tour
Today you will go on an exciting ATV adventure through the tropical dry forests, dirt roads and trails, up mountains, across rivers, and past breath-taking beaches. You will be taken back to your hotel.
Day 9: Surf Lessons
You will learn how to surf today! Tamarindo is renowned for its surf-friendly waves, warm water, light currents, and no rocks. Sun, salt and surfing!
Day 10: Return to San Jose
After breakfast, your shuttle will take you to San Jose. You can go downtown, visit museums, local markets, or have a typical dinner. Overnight stay in San Jose. We recommend Grano de Oro Hotel.
Day 11: Leaving Costa Rica
Your private transport will pick you up at your hotel, and take you to the San Jose Airport. Bid farewell to the Land of Pura Vida!
