San José – Tortuguero – Arenal
Day 1: Arrival at San Jose
Your private transport will pick you up at the San Jose Airport, and take you to your hotel. We recommend Park Inn Hotel.
Day 2: Puerto Viejo
Your shared transport will pick you up from your hotel, and take you to the Caribbean region of Puerto Viejo, in the province of Limon, renowned for its stunning natural beauty, laid-back beach atmosphere and cultural diversity. Overnight stay in Puerto Viejo. We recommend Le Cameleon Hotel.
Day 3: Cahuita National Park
Today, you will go on a nature hike through the lush tropical jungle trails of Cahuita National Park, home to a wide variety of wildlife. Once having reached the beach, you can swim, relax and enjoy Caribbean views. You will be taken back to your hotel.
Day 4: Tortuguero
Your private transport will pick you up from your hotel, and take you to the Guapiles region in the Caribbean province of Limon. Here, you will take a shuttle to the coastal limits of the region, and then a boat transfer to Tortuguero itself. Tortuguero is renowned for its lush, green jungles, scenic canals, and incredible wildlife. Overnight stay in Tortuguero. We recommend Pachira Lodge.
Day 5: Tortuguero Canals
Today, you will explore the enchanting canals of Tortuguero. You can choose between early morning and afternoon Boat Tours of the canal, a nature-immersed delight. You will be taken back to your hotel.
Day 6: Arenal
Your private transport will pick you up from your hotel, and take you to the Arenal region, known for its active volcano, scenic lake, lush rainforests, and adventure activities. Overnight stay in Arenal. We recommend Arenal Manoa Hotel.
Day 7: Arenal Hanging Bridges, La Fortuna Waterfall Tour & Arenal Volcano Hike
Today, you will go on a three-part adventure in the Arenal region. First, you will visit the Arenal Hanging Bridges, and go on a 3 km nature hike through the rainforest reserve.
Next, you will visit the beautiful La Fortuna Waterfall. You can rest, take photos or go swimming.
Last but not least, you will visit the Arenal Volcano National Park for a nature hike. You will observe an abundance of flora and fauna, views of Lake Arenal, and learn about the eruptions of the Arenal Volcano. You will be taken back to your hotel.
Day 8: Return to San Jose
Your shuttle transfer will pick you up at your hotel, and take you to San Jose. Overnight stay in San Jose. We recommend Presidente Hotel.
Day 8: Leaving Costa Rica
Your private transport will pick you up at your hotel, and take you to the San Jose Airport. Bid farewell to the Land of Pura Vida!
