Central Valley

The Central Valley is located in the heart of Costa Rica, and consists of the provinces of San Jose, Alajuela, Heredia, and Cartago. Overwhelmingly green, and made of definitively diverse landscapes, it is mainly comprised of plateaus, valleys and mountains. The region houses the metropolitan capital, San Jose, as well as the scenic volcanoes and national parks of Irazu, Turrialba and Poas.

The province of Cartago hosts the incredible Irazu Volcano National Park, as well as the Orosi Valley, greener than God’s Garden.
