Day 01: Arrival in Liberia
Arrive at Liberia International Airport, where your guide will greet you, provide a brief overview of your vacation, deliver your travel documents, and introduce you to your driver. After saying goodbye to your guide, begin the approximately 3 ½ hour private transfer to the Arenal Volcano region.
Arenal is home to Costa Rica’s most iconic volcano, surrounded by tropical rainforest, natural hot springs, and vibrant wildlife. Its landscape blends adventure, relaxation, and breathtaking views, making it a premier destination for explorers and nature lovers alike.

Day 02: Arenal Volcano
Hike Arenal Volcano National Park, explore the old lava fields and tropical forests. Visit La Fortuna Waterfall and enjoy lunch nearby. Stunning views and wildlife encounters throughout the day.

Days 03: Arenal Volcano
Sky Walk & Sky Tram Adventure
This area offers volcano views that can be observed from an aerial Sky Tram that rises 236 meters (780 feet) in 1250 meters (4125 feet) ride. The tram resembles a ski lift with hanging gondolas and takes participants up to a mirador (lookout point). You will be accompanied by a Naturalist Guide in order to point out and explain more about the wild species found in the preserve. The tram stops at some points on the way, allowing the visitors to take photographs or spotting native wildlife. At the lookout point, there is a platform designed to see the surrounding rainforest as well as a panoramic view of the volcano and Arenal Lake.
As you step out of the tram, an aerial tram your guide will continue with you to enter the Canopy Walkway. This walk consists of a trail which connects a series of suspension bridges located over the treetops. The trail ascends along some ravines and hills, permitting the visitor opportunities to spot wildlife while crossing through dense forest as well as light gaps.
Note: The initial part of the walk is steep before reaching the first suspension bridge. The walk might involve some backtracking on part of the trail.

Day 04: Arenal Volcano – Rio Celeste
At convenient time, meet your driver and start the approximate 2 hours private drive to Rio Celeste.

Night Nature Walk
On property 5:30-7 PM Back just in time for dinner at the Lodge.
Max. distance walked: 800 mts (yards). Red-eyed frogs and others, snakes, spiders, insects, night birds, bats, armadillos, maybe the tapir, in the ambiance of our primary rainforest.
Good shoes, rain poncho, long pants and long sleeves, repellent.
Bilingual guide English/Spanish and flashlights included.
Day 05: Rio Celeste
Today is a full day at leisure. Take advantage of the opportunity to explore the lodge’s surroundings or sign up for one of the lodge’s exciting adventures. We especially recommend the hike to Río Celeste. Please note that none of the activities are included in the package and must be booked and paid for directly at the lodge.

Today is a full day at leisure. Take advantage of the opportunity to explore the lodge’s surroundings or sign up for one of the lodge’s exciting adventures. Day 06: Rio Celeste – Tamarindo Beach
At a convenient time, meet your driver and begin the approximately 3-hour private drive to Tamarindo on the Northern Pacific Coast.
Tamarindo has a long beach with great waves, and it’s perfect for those just learning how to surf as well as the more experienced surfers. This town also offers great swimming, fishing and water sports. Because of its central location, tourists often base themselves here and explore different attractions in Guanacaste. Tamarindo is situated only 1 hour away from the Liberia airport, and the different beaches in the area offer a variety of activities for those who want to spend their time in the sand and the sun.

Day 07: Tamarindo Beach
Tamarindo Estuary Guided Boat Experience
Tamarindo Wildlife Refuge protects a large estuary, mangrove forest and tropical dry forest in an area covering almost 500 hectares. A small and slight boat will take you to the narrow canals being able to observe local wildlife including bird species and monkeys while learning about the unique ecosystem of the mangrove forest. You may see various tropical water birds, basilisk lizards and monkeys.
Duration: 3- 3.5 h. Departure time depends on local tide.
