The Quetzal Tour
The resplendent quetzal, one of the world’s most striking exotic birds, can be found in the Las Tablas Protective Zone, a remote wildlife refuge in Costa Rica’s South Pacific. On lucky days, you may see whales breach and even hear their songs.
Marino Ballena Hike & Birdwatching Tour
Marino Ballena National Park, located in Bahía Ballena near Uvita, is one of Costa Rica’s most biologically diverse areas and a renowned birdwatching destination. This tour features a guided nature hike beginning in the town of Bahía, passing historic landmarks and continuing to Uvita Beach. After crossing a creek, enjoy a three-hour walk through jungle trails, mangroves, and varied bird habitats. Terraba Sierpe Mangrove Tour
The Térraba–Sierpe Mangrove, located near Bahía Ballena in Uvita, is one of the largest mangrove wetlands in Central America. Protected as a Forest Reserve since 1977 and designated a RAMSAR Wetland in 1995, it is managed by Costa Rica’s Ministry of Environment and Energy. This boat tour explores the reserve’s extensive mangrove forests, including white, black, red, cat, and pineapple mangroves. As you glide through the waterways, watch for abundant wildlife such as birds, fish, mammals, and reptiles. Birdwatchers may spot herons, egrets, cotingas, and the osprey (Pandion haliaetus).
Uvita Beach Kayaking & Snorkeling
The breathtaking Uvita Beach is ideally located right by Tombolo de Punta Uvita, locally known as the Whale’s Tail, and Marino Ballena National Park, and is perfect for kayaking and snorkeling.

La Amistad International Park
La Amistad International Park is Costa Rica’s largest protected area, covering over 400,000 hectares and harboring extraordinary biodiversity. The park is home to jaguars, tapirs, pumas, ocelots, monkeys, sloths, and more than 450 bird species, including quetzals, bellbirds, eagles, and hummingbirds. The tour begins with a scenic 1.5-hour drive from San Vito to Santa María de Pittier, where you will select a trail—Río Canasta, La Catarata, or Cerro Pittier. Enjoy a guided three-hour hike through lush rainforest. Afterward, savor a traditional Costa Rican lunch at Cerro Pittier Lodge and relax in nearby natural hot springs.
El Salto del Angelito Waterfall
The enchanting El Salto del Angelito Waterfall is located within Las Tablas Protective Zone, amongst lush green jungle.
On this tour, we will go on a 9 km nature hike through jungle trails to the waterfall, making for a round-trip of 6 hours. The trail begins with a fairly long ascent but later continues with less steep inclines and declines. In some sections, the terrain is quite technical, suitable for individuals with some hiking experience and a moderate level of physical fitness.
Corredores Caves
An exciting adventure awaits in Ciudad Neily as you explore the Corredores Caves, considered among the most beautiful caverns in Costa Rica. The tour begins with a scenic 2.5-kilometer nature hike along the Río Corredores, crossing rocks and boulders while enjoying the surrounding rainforest. La Casona Ethno-Tourism Experience
