New Nonstop Southwest Airlines Service from Nashville to Costa Rica!

✈️ New Nonstop Southwest Airlines Service from Nashville to Costa Rica!

Hello friends!

TAM Travel Corporation is excited to share great news for travelers and partners: Southwest Airlines has announced its first-ever nonstop flight from Nashville, Tennessee, to San José, Costa Rica — opening a new gateway for U.S. visitors to experience our country’s natural beauty and vibrant culture.

Beginning March 2026, this seasonal service will operate once weekly on Saturdays for an initial period of four weeks, with the potential for extension based on demand. Flights will depart Nashville International Airport (BNA) at 9:50 a.m., arriving at Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) at approximately 1:05 p.m. The return flight to Nashville will depart later the same day.

According to Costa Rica’s Minister of Tourism, this new route is an important step in diversifying visitor markets and making our country even more accessible. In the first half of 2025 alone, over 921,000 travelers from the U.S. arrived in Costa Rica by air — confirming the United States as our leading source market.

Southwest Airlines has a strong history with Costa Rica, choosing our country in 2015 as its first-ever international destination. This year marks a decade of flights to SJO, and November will celebrate ten years of direct service to Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (Guanacaste). Over the past decade, the airline has transported nearly 700,000 passengers between the U.S. and Costa Rica.

Our destination services company in Costa Rica looks forward to welcoming more visitors from Nashville and beyond. Whether you’re seeking pristine beaches, lush rainforests, or rich cultural heritage, Costa Rica is ready to deliver a truly Pura Vida experience.
